If you need to rotate an image in Windows 10 and don't want to download a third-party application, here are three ways to rotate an image in Windows 10.

If you want to do more than rotate, we have numerous freeware graphics apps available.

We can rotate an image using File Explorer, Photos, or Windows Photo Viewer.

Video tutorial:

3 Ways to Rotate an Image in Windows 10 - File Explorer

Open File Explorer and click on the image to rotate.

Click on Picture Tools under Manage.

Click on Rotate left or Rotate right.

Your changes are saved immediately, so be sure to rotate the image back if you're not happy with the results.

3 Ways to Rotate an Image in Windows 10 - Photos App

Open the Photos app by clicking Start > Photos. Open the image you want to rotate.

Click on the Rotate icon near the top center.

You can also press CTRL + R to rotate the image.

3 Ways to Rotate an Image in Windows 10 - Windows Photo Viewer

Windows Photo Viewer has been replaced with Photos. You can restore the Windows Photo Viewer if you prefer that.

Open your image in Windows Photo Viewer.

Click on Rotate clockwise or Rotate counterclockwise.

You can also right-click on the image and click on Rotate left or rotate right.
