Windows 10 offers the option to sign in with a Pin. If you're getting an error that states, "Something happened and your PIN isn't available," then here are some solutions.

The entire error message is Something happened and your PIN isn’t available. Click to set up your PIN again..

You should be familiar with how to add or remove your PIN in Windows 10

1: Login With Your Account and Change Pin

If you have your Microsoft or Local account login, then click on Sign-in options and log in.

Now that you're logged in, remove your Pin and add a new Pin.

2: Delete Ncg Folder Contents

If you don't have a Microsoft or Local account first, boot into safe mode.

Open File Explorer and go to C:WindowsServiceProfilesLocalServiceAppDataLocalMicrosoft.

Take ownership of the Ncg folder.

Open the Ngc folder.

Click CTRL + A to highlight all files in the Ncg folder. Right-click and click on Delete.

Reboot and set up your new Pin.
