Beginning with Mozilla Firefox 93, you may now see what Mozilla calls the Firefox Suggest feature, which means that Firefox may occasionally show sponsored suggestions. If you'd like to disable the sponsored suggestions, Mozilla has made it easy to do.

First, allow me to step up on my soapbox.

If you're a fan of Firefox, you might leave these suggestions in place to help Mozilla continue to develop Firefox. Because Google Chrome is the most popular browser, and Microsft Edge now comes with every PC, one could argue not to disable sponsored suggestions. With the advent of ad blockers, it's hard for everyone to make a living, and limiting ads should be the norm, not blocking them entirely. And yes, MajorGeeks accepts donations here to make up for the loss of revenue from ad blockers or to say thanks for our tutorials and videos.

I know that falls on some deaf ears, but thank you for reading it anyway. Stepping down.....

Video tutorial:

Click on the three dots (known as the hamburger icon) in the top-right corner. Click on Settings.

Click on Privacy & Security.

Scroll down about midway and look for the Address Bar ---Firefox Suggest category.

Check or uncheck Contextual Suggestions and Include occasional sponsored suggestions.
