If you're upgrading your RAM, you should know the speed in MHz to purchase the right memory. Otherwise, you might get errors running incompatible RAM.

How to Find Your RAM Speed in Windows 10 & 11 - Task Manager

Open the Task Manager.

Click on the Performance tab. Click on Memory.

Look for Speed.

Open the Command Prompt or PowerShell.

Type in wmic memorychip get speed

Each memory stick speed is listed individually. For example, we have two sticks of RAM installed, so we see the speed twice.
